The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with inventory management systems, warehouse operations, and a strong understanding of stock control best practices. Key Responsibilities Conduct physical stock audits and inventory verification across company depots and godowns. Reconcile physical inventory with: Depot Manager stock records Tally ERP9/Prime system stock balances Identify and report on stock variances, inventory shrinkage, expiry, damage, pilferage, and unrecorded movement. Evaluate the condition of goods, shelf life, packaging standards, and storage issues. Review and audit: Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) Stock inward/outward registers Dispatch logs and bin cards Collaborate with Depot Managers, Accounts, Sales, and Procurement to streamline stock reporting. Support internal audit teams during financial audits, forensic reviews, and inventory risk assessments. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field. 1–4 years of relevant experience in: Inventory control / Stock audit Warehouse inventory management Internal auditing or reconciliation roles Working knowledge of Tally ERP9/Prime, Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.), and ideally WMS (Warehouse Management Systems). Strong analytical, documentation, and reconciliation skills. Good understanding of logistics, GRN processing, stock adjustment, and inventory accounting principles. Strong communication skills (English & Hindi); regional language is a plus (Bengali for Kolkata Depot. Desirable Competencies: Prior experience in FMCG, Perfumes/Cosmetics, or Manufacturing sectors.
